How much does it cost?
Course material is generally priced at about R40,00 per CPD-hour for shorter courses and R30,00 per CPD-hour for longer courses.
How do I register and what do I need to do so?
- Click on the “Create an account” tab on the top menu bar to open the registration page. It takes less than a minute to complete but make sure to have your council or institute registration number handy if you wish to earn CPD points. You will also require your ID number.
- Choose a username and password that you will always remember. Here are some pointers to assist you in doing so:
User name : Select a combination of your name and surname i.e. Piet Viljoen becomes pietviljoen or use your initials and surname i.e. pjviljoen. Password : Combine your name with a number such as your birthdate i.e. piet231067
How do I enroll for a course?
After registration:
Click on the link on the menu bar to view our Course List in the open section of the website to obtain a brief overview of the available courses.
To view even more information about a course requires that you log into your account. Do so by clicking the link on the top menu bar. After logging in you will be presented with a personalised page listing all the courses you have purchased. Below these appear a button with a link to “All courses”. Clicking on this link takes you to a page with all courses available at present.
Each module in the course list is followed by an icon showing the course summary, duration, price, etc. and another icon that you need to click to add the module to your shopping basket. You may continue shopping and add more courses to the basket or you may wish to check out. You can also select to add a module to your shopping basket by clicking on the module title. You will then be taken to a screen asking whether you wish to enroll for this course. Clicking on the “Yes” button adds the course yo your shopping basket.
Remember to have a valid credit card ready as you will require details from it to complete the transaction.
You will receive an e-mailed confirmation of your purchase as soon as the transaction is cleared by your bank. The course is then automatically added to your list of course material.
All courses purchased by you will be listed on- and will be available for download from your personal page. Your personal page is presented whenever you log in on GoLearning. Once in the administrative/learning section of the website you may access your personal page by clicking on the “GoLearning” link at the top left hand side of the page.

CPD Certificates
Certificates of CPD-time earned through GoLearning are issued annually by ASAQS.
You do not require the certificate when completing your submission - only when the SACQSP decides to audit your submission will you be asked for proof.
The GoLearning system retains a database of all your activities and we are able to verify when you sat a test and what the results of that test was.
You generally require a pass mark of 60% or higher to be credited with the CPD-hours earned by doing one of our courses.
Getting to know the navigation areas
The GoLearning website consists of a public section that can be viewed without creating an account and a closed administrative section that can only be accessed by creating your free account on GoLearning.
The top navigation area is used to navigate the administrative (closed) area of the website and it shows links to the home page, creating a new account and logging into your personal page after account creation.
The menu bar on the left is used to navigate the public (open) areas of our website.
The bottom menu bar is used to navigate our policies and procedures.

The first step in using GoLearning is in registering your information with us. Remember, if you wish to obtain CPD points for course material on GoLearning your professional organisation should be in partnership with us (Partner's logos appear on the GoLearning Home page)

Click on this link to gain access to your personal page and course material after creating an account and purchasing modules on GoLearning.

Course List
Lists the courses available from GoLearning with short summaries of the content. To purchase a course you need to be logged in and select the course from the list within the administrative section of the website. Select a course and safely purchase it online at any time of the day or night.
CPD
Gives some basic information regarding the Continuing Professional Development system administered by the Association of South African Quantity Surveyors. It also enables readers to download the CPD booklet and any amendments thereto. We also provide you with example submission forms in Word and Excel format.

Hardware and Software requirements
For optimum viewing of our course material, we recommend:
Minimum Computer Hardware/Sound Requirements A standard multimedia, Internet-ready computer should be sufficient. This means your computer preferably needs to have speakers and a sound card if you wish to listen to supplementary sound files that may accompany certain of the course material.
Internet Connection Your PC or Mac needs to be connected to the Internet, either through a modem or a direct connection via your corporate network (LAN) when you wish to do our online tests for CPD purposes. The minimum recommended modem connection is 56 Kbps.
Web Browser Requires Netscape 4.7(now FireFox) or later, or MS Internet Explorer 4.01 or later. Both Java and JavaScript must be enabled.
Adobe Acrobat Reader Most course handouts are provided as PDF files. You will need a current version of Adobe Acrobat Reader to view these. Follow this link to download and install Acrobat Reader.
Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Excel Some course handouts are also provided as MS PowerPoint or MS Excel files. You will need a current versions of this software to view these.
